Our Story
Big Bro originally trained as a chef from a young age. After years in the professional fine dining sector including head chef at 2 major boutique hotels.
He decided to leave the culinary world to pursue his passion in other industries.

During 2020, a global pandemic saw the closure of all major restaurants, shops and hospitality. This created a unique time for smaller businesses to fill a gaping void. In the absence of restaurant dining Joey opened his first food truck. Eventually turning this into it's own standalone restaurant and becoming one of the Top 3 restaurants in Essex.
Now, with multiple venues and other businesses under his expertise, Big Bro has now teamed up with his younger brother to open Big Bro Bao; a unique twist on their favourite cuisine ... Pan Asian!
To this day the brothers, their team and their family pride themselves on providing nothing but the best food, service and a touch of heart felt magic that can only exist in an independent family business to create a truly gastronomic feast and memorable dining experience, regardless of what outlet you visit of Big Bro Bao.
